2 Women Survived 30 Hours Later; Commando Wept with Happiness

Two injured women were rescued approximately 30 hours after the wreckage of the destroyed buildings in the central Antakya district of Hatay, which was affected by the Kahramanmaras-centered earthquakes.
After the 7.7 and 7.6 magnitude earthquakes, the epicenter of which is in the Pazarcik and Elbistan districts of Kahramanmaras, and affecting 10 provinces, search and rescue efforts continue in the wreckage of the destroyed buildings in Antakya.
Wounded Removed
In the works carried out by IHH and gendarmerie teams under the coordination of AFAD in the wreckage of a building on Atatürk Street, it was determined that there were people who were under the rubble.

In the work carried out by the teams, Hatice Akgol (85) injured was removed from the wreckage at around 10:00 am.

The lifeless body of Akgol’s husband was found.
She Couldn’t Hold Her Tears
In the work carried out by the teams in the wreckage of a building in the Jibrail District, which is located near the Orontes River, a woman injured, whose name could not be learned, was rescued.

It was observed that the commando who pulled the woman out of the wreckage could not hold back her tears.
