YouTube’s Game Service ‘Playables’ is Now Available!
YouTube’s new service ‘Playables’, which will allow you to play games on the platform, is now available. Here are the details!
Following YouTube’s forays into music, television, gaming live streams and podcasts, the long-rumored gaming service “Playables” is now being tested publicly.
The existence of Playables on YouTube was first reported earlier this year as “a service for online gaming”. At the time, not many details about the service were available as it was only being tested by employees.
Other information reported was that one of the games being tested was “Stack Bounce”, a game that can also be played through Google’s GameSnacks.
‘Playables’ Available to a Limited Number of Users
Today, YouTube updated its list of ongoing tests and experimental features and announced thatPlayables is now available to a “limited number of users to start”. If you’re one of the lucky ones, there will be a new “Playables” section on your YouTube homepage.
Unfortunately, the company doesn’t share any information on whether we should expect to see more advanced games than GameSnacks offers, or how interested game developers can get involved.
