Fortune 500 Companies Fear Artificial Intelligence

According to research by Arize AI, 56 percent of Fortune 500 companies, which includes 500 organizations with the highest net turnover in the US, see artificial intelligence as a risk. In 2022, when OpenAI launched ChatGPT, this rate was only 9 percent.

Since 2022, there has been incredible growth in artificial intelligence. World-renowned technology companies, including Meta, Google and X, have launched their own AI models, and billions of dollars of new investments have been made in this field. This has raised concerns among Fortune 500 companies.

According to the report, the biggest reason why companies fear AI is the fear of not being able to keep up with competitors. In addition, more than 90 percent of media and entertainment companies and 86 percent of software and technology companies in the US state that this technology poses a risk and therefore they are worried.

One of these companies is Netflix. Netflix, the world’s largest video streaming service, is worried that its competitors could use artificial intelligence to gain an advantage over them and that this could negatively affect its competitive opportunities.
