WhatsApp multi-device support comes to iPhones

WhatsApp iOS users are starting to get the new update starting this week where they can connect up to 5 iPhone devices and move chats without the need for a SIM card.

In the past weeks, the Companion feature, which enables Android users to connect up to 5 devices and use the WhatsApp application, has been offered to iPhone users as of this week.

WhatsApp iOS 23.10.76 update

With the WhatsApp iOS 23.10.76 update, iOS users can connect up to 5 devices in total under the Devices section. As on the Android side, the message history of the main application is transferred to all devices in full. Moreover, all chats come end-to-end encrypted.

However, the ability to send messages to preset lists and update status will only be available on the main device. In this update, preview playback of GIF posts is also offered to users.
