WhatsApp has been working on a new feature for several months to ensure that users’ phone number is not visible. The feature in question was initially offered to a very limited set of users.
As a result of the new step taken by the company, it was made available to more people in the latest version of the application. The screenshot of the feature, which is expected to be available to all users in the near future, has been shared.
According to the screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, a new option regarding phone number privacy will be added in the settings of the community page. When this option is selected, an information window will appear on the screen. According to the information in the notification window, the phone number will only be visible to community administrators.
Therefore, the new feature, which will offer a significant advantage in terms of privacy, will be limited to community members and community administrators will be able to see their phone numbers. Phone number hiding is also available for groups in the future.
