WhatsApp Improves User Privacy: What Will the New Update Offer?
WhatsApp is working on a new feature to increase user privacy. This feature will come with the new update. Here are the details!
The latest WhatsApp beta, update 2.24.8.4, brings an interesting new feature to Android devices, WABetaInfo reports. WhatsApp is working on a locked chats feature for connected devices.
This feature is designed to provide an additional level of privacy to chats. It allows users to hide locked chats from their chat lists and access them through a personal code.
How to Use the Locked Chat Feature for Connected Devices
For now, the locked chat feature only works on primary devices. But WhatsApp is working on bringing this feature to connected devices.
To open the locked chats folder on a connected device, users need to create a secret code. This secret code can be created from the primary phone by selecting the secret code option in the chat lock settings.
Once the secret code is created, locked chats will disappear from the chat list and can only be accessed through this privacy feature on connected devices.
The introduction of this feature for connected devices is expected to significantly improve privacy. With this feature, users will be able to easily access their protected conversations from any connected device as their locked chats are synchronized across all devices.
