Water Level in Yuvacık Dam is Declining Rapidly

The water level in the Yuvacık Dam, located in the Başiskele district of Kocaeli, where a significant portion of the province’s water needs are met, has dropped to 55 percent despite the water replenishment with pumps from Sapanca Lake. As the water level drops rapidly due to both the lack of precipitation and temperatures above seasonal norms, officials warned the public about water conservation.

While temperatures are expected to rise further in the coming days, officials warned the public about water conservation.
