Apple’s TV+ service is actively used by millions of people. The platform, which includes movies, series and many other content, has recently started to give more importance to football matches.
Apple is preparing to submit a bid for the English Premier League broadcast rights. Taking firm steps forward in sports broadcasting, Apple previously made agreements with Major League Baseball (MLB) and Major League Soccer (MLS).
Matches may come to Apple TV
The Premier League matches in the UK and the lower leagues of the English Football League will begin to be broadcast on the Apple TV + platform after the agreement. Apple is preparing to bid for these publishing rights.
In the UK, the Premier League is currently broadcast on Sky Sports, BT Sport, BBC Sport and Amazon.
In the United States, the Premier League is hosted by Comcast-owned NBC Sports under a contract until 2027.
