Vegan social media influencer Zhanna Samsonova starved to death

Zhanna Samsonova, who was fed only exotic fruit diet on her Southeast Asia trip, died of starvation. Samsonova, a social media phenomenon, was sent home for treatment on a trip to Sri Lanka but returned. Her friend said she had persuaded her to seek treatment but without success. It is stated that Samsonova has been following a completely raw vegan diet for the last four years and has been eating only sunflower seed sprouts and fruit. The cause of death has not yet been announced.

Zhanna Samsonova died of starvation after being fed a diet of only exotic fruit while travelling in Southeast Asia. Samsonova died of starvation on 21 July, her family announced.

The social media phenomenon known as Zhanna D’Art, also known as Zhanna D’Art, who persuaded thousands of people to this diet by advocating vegan nutrition on social media platforms and reached millions of viewers, died in the hospital where she was treated during her Southeast Asia tour.

A friend of Samsonova’s said that Samsonova had been travelling in Sri Lanka and appeared to be quite exhausted and had been sent home for treatment, but that she had come back again.

“I lived upstairs from him and every day I was afraid of finding his lifeless body in the morning. I persuaded him to seek treatment, but he failed,” the friend said.
It is claimed that Samsonova, who was said to favour uncooked grass-based meals, had been following a completely raw vegan diet for the last four years, eating only sunflower seed sprouts and fruit.
Samsonova’s mother attributed her daughter’s death to a cholera-like infection, but the autopsy report has not yet been released.
