US Embargo on Iran Supplies Drone Parts To Tehran

The UAVs that Russia bought from Iran became the subject of great curiosity. It was determined that the parts used in the construction of Iranian unmanned aerial vehicles shot down in Ukraine were produced by companies in the USA and European countries. The Institute of Science and International Security, in a report on the delivery of these parts to Iran last month, stated that there is evidence that China-based companies may be supplying Western-made parts to Iran.

Parts of Iranian drones seized by Ukrainian intelligence were examined by the Independent Anti-Corruption Commission (NAKO). It was surprising where the parts of the UAVs that Tehran gave to Russia came from.

MOST MADE IN THE USA

NAKO announced that three-quarters of the parts of the Iranian-made UAVs used by Russia in Ukraine were manufactured in the USA. “Most of the parts found in Iranian UAVs shot down in Ukraine turned out to be manufactured by the United States, Europe and Western allies,” London-based Middle East Eye said.

HOW DID THE PIECES COME TO IRAN?

The Institute for Science and International Security said in a report last month that there is evidence that China-based companies may be supplying Western-made parts to Iran. Defense industry and Western security sources arouse suspicion in the international community, saying that most of the parts do not pass export control, can be easily purchased online and can be supplied to Iran through third countries.

IRAN: WE ARE READY TO RESEARCH

Iran’s United Nations mission has announced that the Tehran administration is ready to meet with Ukraine at the level of technical experts, as well as launch an investigation into the alleged origin of the drone and its parts. Despite the Western countries’ sanctions against Iran, it is noteworthy that the Tehran administration produces UAVs with Western parts.
