Ukraine: We Shot Down Russia’s Su-34 Aircraft
"One less Su-34 in the eastern direction," the Air Force Command said. Russian troops are reportedly trying to break through Ukrainian defense lines.
Ukraine announced that it shot down a Russian military warplane.
The statement was made by Ukrainian Air Force Commander Nikolay Oleshchuk.
Oleşchuk announced that they shot down a Russian “Su-34” model fighter jet.
“One less Su-34”
In his post on his social media account, Oleşçuk used the following statements:
Today is February 29, a date that comes every 4 years, but for the Russians it is a familiar day with the loss of another aircraft. One less Su-34 in the eastern direction.
In a post on his social media account, Ukrainian Chief of General Staff Oleksandr Serbsky also assessed the situation on the front line.
“The Russians are trying to breach our defenses”
Stating that the situation of the Ukrainian defense forces in the operational zone remains difficult, Sırskiy said:
The situation is particularly tense in the Avdiyivka and Zaporizhia directions, where Russian assault troops are trying to break through our defenses and capture the settlements of Tonenke, Orlivka, Semenivka, Semenivka, Bardıchi and Krasnoholivka.
Stating that fierce clashes continue in the Verbove and Robotine regions, where Russia is trying to regain control, Sırskiy noted that Ukrainian soldiers pushed back the Russian troops advancing to the outskirts of the Orlivka settlement.
