Two Ships Collided In The Bosphorus
A 147-meter-long Ro-Ro passenger ship named "Kevalay Queen" and a 103-meter-long general cargo ship named "Captain Adam 1" collided in front of Yenikapı in the Istanbul Strait. Upon this, KEGM-4 fast rescue boat of the Directorate General of Coastal Safety was directed to the scene.

The accident occurred off the Fatih Yenikapı offshore of Fatih Yenikapı in the Bosphorus last night. A 147-meter-long ro-ro passenger ship named Kevalay Queen and a 103-meter-long general cargo ship named Captain Adam 1 collided. Directorate General of Coastal Safety teams directed the life-saving boat to the scene after the collision. Both ships were damaged in the accident. The collided ships were anchored at Ahırkapı Anchorage Area.
Fined For Polluting The Sea
The Libyan flagged Kevalay Queen ro-ro ship was fined 13 million 265 thousand 525 liras for polluting the sea off Zeytinburnu last August, and a judicial process was initiated by the Coast Guard teams with the instruction of the public prosecutor. On the other hand, the same ship had an engine failure off the Dardanelles last November.
