Twitter’s Head of Trust and Security Resigns!
Twitter’s Director of Trust and Security has resigned after Elon Musk appointed someone else as CEO. Details are here!
Ella Irwin, Twitter’s Head of Trust and Security, confirmed to Reuters on Thursday that she is stepping down as the company’s director of trust and security.
Irwin was appointed after Yoel Roth left in November, shortly after Elon Musk bought the company for $44 billion.
The senior executive’s departure is the latest in the chaotic seven months since Musk bought the social media platform in October.

Elon Musk Reiterates His Plans With Twitter
After an early move to sack Twitter’s CEO and board, the billionaire entrepreneur reiterated his support for free speech before allowing the reinstatement of many accounts previously banned for posting offensive content such as hate speech.
Many major advertisers have reportedly left Twitter for fear of appearing with such questionable content, but Musk also claims that many brands have recently returned to the platform.
Irwin’s unexpected departure came as former NBCUniversal ad sales chief Linda Yaccarino took over as Twitter’s CEO from Musk; Yaccarino said in a recent interview that managing Twitter was “pretty painful” at times.
While Musk hopes Yaccarino will stabilize the ship, the departure of Twitter’s director of trust and security on Thursday shows that there may still be thorny issues to overcome.
