Twitch Streamer Jahrein Detained: Why?

Ahmet Sonuç, known as Jahrein on social media, was detained in Antalya. Antalya Police Department made a statement on social media after the detention. With the statement, the reason for detention became clear.
Why was Jahrein Detained?
A press statement was made regarding the posts on social media accounts that obscene speeches and publications were made via the internet. In the press release made by the General Directorate of Security, the following statements were made regarding Jahrein:
It was seen that the user with the name / pseudonym ‘JAHREIN’ made speeches with similar content in his live broadcast on the social media platform named Twitch, and as a result of the investigations made, it was determined that the user with the name / pseudonym ‘Jahrein’ was a person named (A.S.).
Persons named (E.K.) and (A.S.) were detained on 12.09.2024 by the officers of the Anti-Cyber Crimes Branch Directorate of our Security Directorate on 12.09.2024; According to Article 226 of the Turkish Penal Code, PROCEEDINGS WERE INITIATED for the offence of MISCONDUCT.’
The full statement made by the Antalya Police General Directorate is as follows:
‘Upon the news that some press / media organs and social media accounts have made obscene conversations and publications via the internet, it is necessary to make the following statement.
It has been observed that in the live chat room in open sources titled ‘İncel chat room’, which is administered by the user name ‘Rockerpuck_Evil’ and the nickname ‘Pungent 666’ on the social media platform named X (Twitter), conversations that are not in accordance with the general morality and general value judgements of the society were made.
When the said conversations were analysed, it was determined that the X account user with the user name ‘Rockerpuck_Evil’ and the nickname ‘Pungent 666’ was a person named (E.K.).
In addition, it was seen that the user with the name / pseudonym ‘JAHREIN’ made speeches with similar content in his live broadcast on the social media platform named Twitch, and as a result of the examinations made, it was DETERMINED that the user with the name / pseudonym ‘Jahrein’ was a person named (A.S.).
Persons named (E.K.) and (A.S.) were detained on 12.09.2024 by the officers of the Anti-Cyber Crimes Branch Directorate of our Security Directorate on 12.09.2024 and PROCEDURES were initiated against them; According to Article 226 of the Turkish Penal Code, PROCEDURE was initiated for the offence of CONTEMPT.
