“Turkiye Tek Yurek”… 115 Billion 146 Million 528 Thousand Lira Donations Raised! Who Donated How Much?

After the earthquakes that occurred in Kahramanmaraş and affected 10 provinces, all television channels came together and started an aid campaign. The aid to be collected for the earthquake victims affected by the earthquakes described as the disaster of the century will be donated to AFAD and Kızılay. A total of 115 billion 146 million 528 thousand TL donations were collected in the “Turkey One Heart” campaign.

In the “Turkey one heart” aid campaign, which was broadcast on 213 television channels and 562 radios from Turkey and abroad, a joint live broadcast was made to collect donations for the citizens affected by the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş.

Nihat Hatipoğlu, Pelin Çift, Çağla Şikel and Tümer Doğru moderated the publication titled “Turkey One Heart”, followed by Nazlı Çelik, Acun Ilıcalı, Didem Arslan Yılmaz and Deniz Bayramoğlu.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was connected to the “Turkey One Heart Campaign Joint Broadcast” by phone.

Greeting those who follow them from the joint broadcast, President Erdoğan said, “We know the magnanimity of our nation regarding such situations closely from the disasters in the past. Hopefully, our nation will once again show its magnanimity with a figure that will break the record of all time. I have no doubt that we will be able to overcome this burden by Allah’s leave.” said.


While the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey made the highest donation to the campaign with 30 billion liras, Ziraat Bank 20 billion liras, VakıfBank 12 billion liras, Halkbank 7 billion liras, the Presidency of Defense Industry and its subsidiaries 3.6 billion liras, Turkcell 3.5 billion liras, Cengiz Holding Türk Telekom, TMSF, Borsa İstanbul Group and Türkiye Sigorta donated 2 billion TL each.

In the second time zone of the campaign, THY and Baykar donated 2 billion liras each, Ziraat Participation donated 1 billion liras.

Vakıf Katılım and Emlak Katılım Banks and Emlak Konut donated 1 billion liras to the “Turkey One Heart” campaign.

Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mustafa Şentop was connected to the broadcast by phone.

Noting that he was in the earthquake zone and connected to the broadcast from Şanlıurfa, Şentop, “There is nothing that we cannot overcome as a state and nation with one heart. I donated 3 salaries last week. I am donating one more salary as part of this campaign.” said.

CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu also contacted by phone and said, ‘I would like to donate one more salary if I can. Thank you for this campaign. I wish you success. Condolences to our nation,” he said.

Tansu Çiller, one of the former prime ministers, also supported the campaign by donating 1 million liras. Emphasizing that there was great pain, Çiller said, “Today, I wanted to purify myself of all my political identities and speak as a woman and a mother, not as a former prime minister and so on. It is so impressive and so powerful that our nation is able to produce solutions. I believe that we will overcome this with this strength and this unity. I see it, I feel it.”

IYI Party Chairman Meral Akşener, who was connected to the broadcast by phone, “One for all, all for one, and my wife and I donate one salary each.” said.

BBP Chairman Destici thanked everyone who contributed to the campaign and said, “I stated that I donated a salary before. Now I want to express that I donated a salary on behalf of my wife, 50 thousand liras on behalf of my children, and also 500 thousand liras from me.”

DEVA Party Chairman Ali Babacan also noted that he and his wife donated one salary each to the aid campaign.

Deputy Patriarch of the Assyrian Ancient Community, Yusuf Çetin, said that the members of the Assyrian Community living in many countries of the world rush to help through the consulates in the countries they live in.

Stating that they donated 1 million 250 thousand liras to the campaign held this yesterday on behalf of the Istanbul Assyrian Ancient Community Foundation, Çetin said, “We thank you very much on behalf of Turkey. We hope that this contribution we have made will be a balm for the wounds. We are all a great Turkey. I wish God’s mercy on his soul, a speedy recovery to the injured, and my condolences to his relatives. Condolences to all of us. May Allah protect us from such natural disasters.”

Meanwhile, Türk-İş President Ergün Atalay donated 20 million lira, Memur-Sen Chairman Ali Yalçın 10 million lira, HAK-İŞ Chairman Mahmut Arslan 10 million lira and Tuzla Mayor Şadi Yazıcı 7 million lira.


On the other hand, Nihat Hatipoğlu called out to the citizens during the broadcast and said that zakat and fitrah can be sent to the Red Crescent and AFAD through the campaign before the month of Ramadan comes.


Mehmet Büyükekşi, President of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF), announced that he donated 1 million liras on his behalf.

Stating that they donated 20 million liras from the TFF on the first day, Büyükekşi, “We added 50 million liras to what we collected with our clubs and we are building a container city. Amateur football players donate 200 thousand liras they collected among themselves. We personally sent 10 trucks. I also donate 1 million liras on my behalf. ” used his statements.

Serdal Adalı, President of the Jockey Club of Turkey, announced that he has donated 15 million liras.

Cantürk Alagöz, President of Alagöz Holding Iğdır FK, donated 30 million liras, while Ataşehir Golf Club President Cüneyt Sapmaz stated that they provided support with 500 thousand liras.

In addition, Sarıyerspor Club President Saffet Akkoyun and Manisa FK President Mevlüt Aktan donated 1 million TL each.

On the other hand, the Volkan Demirel jersey brought to the studio by Ercan Saatçi was sold for 300 thousand liras.


The club presidents of Beşiktaş, Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray and Trabzonspor joined the joint live broadcast for the aid campaign.

Beşiktaş Club President Ahmet Nur Çebi, Fenerbahçe Club President Ali Koç, Galatasaray Club President Dursun Özbek and Trabzonspor Club President Ahmet Ağaoğlu supported the collection of donations by phone in the studio.

United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres and President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Ersin Tatar were also connected to the campaign by phone.

Sending a video message, Guterres said that Turkey is facing one of the greatest natural disasters of all time, but that it is not alone.

“The UN is by your side and working to assist you.” Guterres said, “When I see images of suffering and destruction, I see people in places I know very well. Since I served as the High Commissioner for Refugees, I have visited the region many times and I will never forget the warmth and generosity of the people I have met. Turkey is the country hosting the largest number of refugees and its Syrian neighbors. It is an unparalleled example of generosity. Now I call on the whole world to support you. Just as you have been supporting the needy for years.” made his statement.

Guterres concluded his message with the Turkish phrase “Seninleyiz Turkey”.

Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama stated that they have not forgotten what Turkey and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan did for them in the 2019 earthquake and announced that they donated 1 million Euros to the “Turkey One Heart” aid campaign on behalf of the Albanian people.

Rama was connected by phone to the “Turkey One Heart Campaign Joint Broadcast” with the participation of 213 national and international televisions and 562 radios from Turkey, TRNC and Azerbaijan.

Noting that they were deeply saddened as Albania by the grave incident, Rama declared a national mourning on Monday and reminded that they lowered their flags at half-mast in the country.

Noting that they called for unity and solidarity in their countries, Rama said, “We sent our aid teams and soldiers to help as much as we could. We know that we are a small country. We have not forgotten what Turkey and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan did for us in the 2019 earthquake. We did our best to support the Turkish people. We are ready to do it. Thanks to Turkey’s fantastic efforts, I am sure that everything will be successful.”

“We are donating 1 million euros on behalf of the Albanian people,” used Rama statements.

TRNC President Ersin Tatar said that various campaigns were organized in the TRNC.

Stressing that donations were collected for 1000 containers of housing in the campaigns, Tatar said, “Our prayers are with Turkey. Tonight, I donate my three months’ salary on my own behalf. I hope we will heal these wounds together. We are a strong nation, as always, we are an inseparable part of Turkey.”


President of Religious Affairs Ali Erbaş also connected to the joint broadcast and emphasized that the Turkish nation is a strong nation.

Erbaş said:

“I hope we will heal our wounds with this spirit of brotherhood. As the Presidency of Religious Affairs, we have been with our nation from the first moment of the earthquake, with our thousands of men and women officials, around 600 truckloads of humanitarian aid materials and more than 500 service vehicles, and with our search and rescue teams. Last week, we launched a campaign on Friday. “In this campaign, a cash aid of 310 million was generated and we are transferring this aid to AFAD. Our Turkish Religious Foundation has spent 400 million liras so far. I am also donating my three salaries.”


11-year-old Rumeysa İncedağ donated 100 thousand liras, which her mother had saved for her since the day she was born, to heal the wounds of earthquake victims.

Specialist Sergeant Furkan Turan, who served in the 1st Commando Brigade, donated a thousand liras to encourage all soldiers.

Emir and Enes Yılmaz donated 500 lira each from their school allowances.

Presenter Özlem Tunca said that her 9-year-old son, Yakup Can, donated 800 liras to the shirt. Tunca said that many children called him and donated the money in his piggy bank.

An unnamed citizen donated the maternity money the state paid him for his third child.

Farmer İbrahim Karaçalı from Kırıkkale announced that he donated approximately 89 thousand liras, which he received from the state as fuel and fertilizer support, to the victims.

Farmer Orhan Koçak from Konya donated his entire savings of 40 thousand liras.

Hajj and Umrah company owner Dr. Erkan said that he would send 74-year-old Mehmet Çakırhan, who lives in Balıkesir and came to the fore when he donated the Umrah money he saved, to the earthquake victims, to go to Umrah free of charge.

Necmettin Kaya donated 15 thousand liras, which is zakat money.

Retired non-commissioned officer Özcan İleri, who experienced the 1999 Gölcük earthquake, donated 13 thousand liras, which is his March pension.


13-year-old İsmail Yılmaz donated 400 liras he saved as pocket money, Burak Nizamlar 100 liras, Meral Budak 250 liras, İbrahim Urgun 300 liras, Harun Kondak 100 liras.

Zeynep Uzunboy announced that she donated 15 thousand liras, which is the scholarship money she collected with her 10 friends.

Murat and Bilgehan Dönmezer couple, who lost their relatives in the earthquake, donated 50 thousand liras.

While the members of the Uzungöl Solidarity Association in Germany donated 100 thousand liras, Metin İnan from the Van Gevaş Association reported that he collected 66 thousand 317 liras from his friends in the village of Kurumtu.

İdil and Nil, the daughters of Mardin Police Department Special Operations Branch Director Tufan Kansuva, who was martyred as a result of the attack of PKK terrorists in the Ömerli district of Mardin, donated a thousand liras for the earthquake victims.
