After the earthquakes that occurred in Kahramanmaraş and affected 10 provinces, all television channels came together and started an aid campaign. The aid to be collected for the earthquake victims affected by the earthquakes described as the disaster of the century will be donated to AFAD and Kızılay. A total of 115 billion 146 million 528 thousand TL donations were collected in the “Turkey One Heart” campaign.
In the “Turkey one heart” aid campaign, which was broadcast on 213 television channels and 562 radios from Turkey and abroad, a joint live broadcast was made to collect donations for the citizens affected by the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş.
Nihat Hatipoğlu, Pelin Çift, Çağla Şikel and Tümer Doğru moderated the publication titled “Turkey One Heart”, followed by Nazlı Çelik, Acun Ilıcalı, Didem Arslan Yılmaz and Deniz Bayramoğlu.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was connected to the “Turkey One Heart Campaign Joint Broadcast” by phone.
Greeting those who follow them from the joint broadcast, President Erdoğan said, “We know the magnanimity of our nation regarding such situations closely from the disasters in the past. Hopefully, our nation will once again show its magnanimity with a figure that will break the record of all time. I have no doubt that we will be able to overcome this burden by Allah’s leave.” said.
A LOT OF BUSINESS PEOPLE, ARTISTS, POLITICIANS, NGO OFFICIALS AND BUREAUCRATS PARTICIPATED IN THE CAMPAIGN
While the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey made the highest donation to the campaign with 30 billion liras, Ziraat Bank 20 billion liras, VakıfBank 12 billion liras, Halkbank 7 billion liras, the Presidency of Defense Industry and its subsidiaries 3.6 billion liras, Turkcell 3.5 billion liras, Cengiz Holding Türk Telekom, TMSF, Borsa İstanbul Group and Türkiye Sigorta donated 2 billion TL each.
In the second time zone of the campaign, THY and Baykar donated 2 billion liras each, Ziraat Participation donated 1 billion liras.
Vakıf Katılım and Emlak Katılım Banks and Emlak Konut donated 1 billion liras to the “Turkey One Heart” campaign.
Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mustafa Şentop was connected to the broadcast by phone.
Noting that he was in the earthquake zone and connected to the broadcast from Şanlıurfa, Şentop, “There is nothing that we cannot overcome as a state and nation with one heart. I donated 3 salaries last week. I am donating one more salary as part of this campaign.” said.
CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu also contacted by phone and said, ‘I would like to donate one more salary if I can. Thank you for this campaign. I wish you success. Condolences to our nation,” he said.
Tansu Çiller, one of the former prime ministers, also supported the campaign by donating 1 million liras. Emphasizing that there was great pain, Çiller said, “Today, I wanted to purify myself of all my political identities and speak as a woman and a mother, not as a former prime minister and so on. It is so impressive and so powerful that our nation is able to produce solutions. I believe that we will overcome this with this strength and this unity. I see it, I feel it.”
IYI Party Chairman Meral Akşener, who was connected to the broadcast by phone, “One for all, all for one, and my wife and I donate one salary each.” said.
BBP Chairman Destici thanked everyone who contributed to the campaign and said, “I stated that I donated a salary before. Now I want to express that I donated a salary on behalf of my wife, 50 thousand liras on behalf of my children, and also 500 thousand liras from me.”
DEVA Party Chairman Ali Babacan also noted that he and his wife donated one salary each to the aid campaign.

Stating that they donated 1 million 250 thousand liras to the campaign held this yesterday on behalf of the Istanbul Assyrian Ancient Community Foundation, Çetin said, “We thank you very much on behalf of Turkey. Meanwhile, Türk-İş President Ergün Atalay donated 20 million lira, Memur-Sen Chairman Ali Yalçın 10 million lira, HAK-İŞ Chairman Mahmut Arslan 10 million lira and Tuzla Mayor Şadi Yazıcı 7 million lira.
NİHAT HATİPOĞLU: ZAKAT AND FITRERS CAN BE SENT TO THE CAMPAIGN BEFORE RAMADAN

Mehmet Büyükekşi, President of the Turkish Football Federation (TFF), announced that he donated 1 million liras on his behalf.
Stating that they donated 20 million liras from the TFF on the first day, Büyükekşi, “We added 50 million liras to what we collected with our clubs and we are building a container city. Amateur football players donate 200 thousand liras they collected among themselves. We personally sent 10 trucks. I also donate 1 million liras on my behalf. ” used his statements.
Serdal Adalı, President of the Jockey Club of Turkey, announced that he has donated 15 million liras.
Cantürk Alagöz, President of Alagöz Holding Iğdır FK, donated 30 million liras, while Ataşehir Golf Club President Cüneyt Sapmaz stated that they provided support with 500 thousand liras.

United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres and President of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Ersin Tatar were also connected to the campaign by phone.
Sending a video message, Guterres said that Turkey is facing one of the greatest natural disasters of all time, but that it is not alone.
“The UN is by your side and working to assist you.” Guterres said, “When I see images of suffering and destruction, I see people in places I know very well. Since I served as the High Commissioner for Refugees, I have visited the region many times and I will never forget the warmth and generosity of the people I have met. Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama stated that they have not forgotten what Turkey and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan did for them in the 2019 earthquake and announced that they donated 1 million Euros to the “Turkey One Heart” aid campaign on behalf of the Albanian people.
Rama was connected by phone to the “Turkey One Heart Campaign Joint Broadcast” with the participation of 213 national and international televisions and 562 radios from Turkey, TRNC and Azerbaijan.
Noting that they were deeply saddened as Albania by the grave incident, Rama declared a national mourning on Monday and reminded that they lowered their flags at half-mast in the country.

I hope we will heal these wounds together. We are a strong nation, as always, we are an inseparable part of Turkey.”

President of Religious Affairs Ali Erbaş also connected to the joint broadcast and emphasized that the Turkish nation is a strong nation.
Erbaş said:

11-year-old Rumeysa İncedağ donated 100 thousand liras, which her mother had saved for her since the day she was born, to heal the wounds of earthquake victims.
Specialist Sergeant Furkan Turan, who served in the 1st Commando Brigade, donated a thousand liras to encourage all soldiers.
