Turkey’s New Operator Starts Acquiring Subscribers

Netgsm, the new mobile operator of our country, starts subscription procedures. 3 million users are targeted by the end of the year. Here are the details!

Netgsm, Turkey’s new mobile operator, started receiving subscribers this month with the number block “0510 22X XXXX”. Subscription transactions can be easily made via e-Government or the artificial intelligence-verified mobile application on smartphones, without the need to visit a dealer.

In a first in Turkey, Netgsm develops all its software through R&D projects supported by TÜBİTAK. In this way, it aims to provide the best service to its subscribers by using the latest technology while contributing to the national economy.

Netgsm aims to reach 3 million subscribers through number porting by the end of this year. Adem Öcal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Netgsm, announced that they have provided virtual mobile network services for the first time in the mobile field and established GSM core network infrastructures. Stating that they provided services in the test phase last year, Öcal said that they operate with fixed telephony, virtual mobile telephony, internet service provider and communication infrastructure licenses obtained from the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure Information Technologies and Communication Authority (ICTA) in 2009.

Öcal also added that the number of VoIP/SMS/internet subscribers in fixed telephony services, which is approaching 200 thousand, ranked 4th after the concession group companies.
