Karsan made the world launch of its mass production hydrogen bus at the IAA Transportation Fair held in Hannover, Germany. Turkey‘s first hydrogen bus, e-Volution, will be produced primarily for European countries. The hydrogen version of the electric e-ATA model, e-Volution, draws attention with its range of up to 500 km.
Okan Bas, one of the sector officials we spoke to at the IAA Transportation fair, said, “Informing that the hydrogen bus market in Europe will reach 2,000 units in five years, Bas noted that their target is to sell 100 units. Bas added that the prices of hydrogen buses are 1.5 times higher than electric buses.
Bas said:
“With our electric development vision, e-Volution, we are taking firm steps towards our goal of positioning our brand in the top 5 in Europe. We will add another dimension to electric mobility with our brand new model, which we launched at the IAA Transportation Fair. This new electric model that we have launched will be a milestone in Karsan’s history of more than half a century and will once again prove our pioneering role in terms of mobility solutions of the future.”
