Turkey’s competitors were determined in EURO 2024 qualifiers (Who are Turkey’s competitors?)

Group draw for the 2024 European Championship (EURO 2024) Qualifiers, which will also include the A National Football Team, was held today. The draw, in which Turkey participated from the 4th bag, was held in Frankfurt, Germany. After the EURO 2024 draw, Turkey’s competitors in the tournament became clear.

The organization, which was held at the Festhalle Exhibition Center in Frankfurt, Germany, which will host EURO 2024, started today at 13.00 CET. After the draw, the group rivals of Turkey in the EURO 2024 qualifiers were determined.

10 groups will take part in the qualifiers where 53 countries will participate. There will be 5 teams in 7 of these groups and 6 teams in 3 of them. After the matches, the group leaders and runners-up will write their names for the finals.

TEAMS FINISHING THEIR GROUPS IN THE FIRST TWO WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP There



are 10 groups in the qualifiers in which 53 countries will participate. 7 of these groups consisted of 5, 3 of 6 teams. After the matches, the group leaders and runners-up will write their names for the finals.

The other 3 teams that will qualify for the finals will be determined after the UEFA Nations League play-off matches to be held in March 2024.

Host Germany did not take part in the draw as it would directly qualify for the finals.

Due to the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, Russia could not participate in the qualifiers.

WHO WERE TURKEY’S EURO 2024 COMPETITORS?

With the completion of the draw for the EURO 2024 Qualifications, the rivals of the Turkish National Team in the groups have been determined.

According to this; Turkey’s rivals in Group D were Croatia, Wales, Armenia and Latvia.

After the draw, the groups were formed as follows:

Group A: Spain, Scotland, Norway, Georgia, Cyprus

Group B: Netherlands, France, Republic of Ireland, Greece, Gibraltar

Group C: Italy, England, Ukraine, North Macedonia, Malta

Group D: Croatia, Wales, Armenia, Turkey, Latvia

Group E: Poland, Czechia, Albania, Faroe Islands, Moldova

Group F: Belgium, Austria, Sweden, Azerbaijan, Estonia

Group G: Hungary, Serbia, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Lithuania

Group H: Denmark, Finland, Slovenia, Kazakhstan, Northern Ireland, San Marino

Group I: Switzerland, Israel, Romania, Kosovo, Belarus, Andorra

Group J: Portugal, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Iceland, Luxembourg, Slovakia, Liechtenstein

WHEN DO THE EURO 2024 QUALIFICATIONS BEGIN?

The qualifying matches will start on 23-25 ​​March 2023 and will be completed with the last week’s struggles on 19-21 November 2023. The finals will be held from 14 June to 14 July 2024.

The opening match of the championship, which will be hosted by 10 cities in Germany, will be played at the Allianz Arena in Munich, and the final match will be played at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin.

The German cities of Berlin, Cologne, Munich, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Dortmund, Leipzig, Gelsenkirchen, Stuttgart and Düsseldorf will host EURO 2024.
