Turkey Decision from UEFA

UEFA decided to commemorate earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria in this week’s matches.

While Turkey was shaken by two major earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaras, major damage occurred in 10 cities.

The first 7.7 and the second 7.6 magnitude earthquake caused great destruction. After this disaster, UEFA took new decisions.

Earthquake Victims Will Not Be Forgotten

A minute’s silence will be held for earthquake victims in Turkey and Syria during the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League matches to be played this week.

In addition, the message “We are with you” will be displayed in Turkish and Arabic on the boards during the matches.

Football players and referees can optionally wear black bands on their arms.
