Tpao Received Licenses For 3 Provinces! Will Search For Oil In The Marmara Sea

TPAO’s onshore and offshore oil exploration activities continue. This time TPAO took action for 3 fields in various provinces in the Marmara Sea.

Turkish Petroleum also received licenses to explore for oil off the coasts of Tekirdağ, Balıkesir and Çanakkale in the Marmara Sea. With the 3 licenses, oil exploration will be carried out on 95 thousand 55 hectares for 8 years.

According to the announcement published in the Official Gazette, oil exploration will be carried out on 27 thousand 688 hectares off the coast of Tekirdağ and Çanakkale in AR/TPO/D/G18-d2, d3, d4 plots, and 54 thousand 238 hectares off the coast of Tekirdağ and Balıkesir in AR/TPO/D/G18-c plots.

TPAO had applied for a license for these fields on September 15, 2023.
