Death toll rises in Sivas

Woman mother of 8 children died from ticks in Samsun
Rabiye Gungor (60), mother of 8 children, who went home after working in the field in Havza district of Samsun, noticed that a tick was clinging to her foot while performing ablution. Rabiye Gungor killed the tick by removing it from its cling. Gungor, who was taken to Kavak State Hospital one day later with complaints of high fever and vomiting, was referred to Samsun Ondokuz Mayıs University (OMU) Medical Faculty Hospital. Rabiye Gungor at OMU Medical Faculty Hospital was diagnosed with CCHF disease, which was transmitted as a result of a tick bite. Güngör, who was treated in the intensive care unit of the hospital, passed away today despite the interventions.
