The next Call of Duty game has a confirmed name!

Activision has officially confirmed Black Ops as the Call of Duty game of the year. Here are the details!

The first teasers for the highly anticipated new Call of Duty game were released by Activision last night. The company launched a marketing campaign for the next installment in the iconic franchise and launched a website called “thetruthlies.com” for these mysterious teasers and other details.

And today, the company has added to the curiosity with a full-page ad in USA Today. The ad, which includes various articles, includes the game’s logo and official name, Call of Duty Black Ops 6, as well as links to the website where the teaser is presented.

New Call of Duty Black Ops Game Made Official

The trailer opens with an exciting scene. A mysterious group climbs Mount Rushmore, a monument of giant statues depicting the four presidents of the United States. They place black tape on the face of each statue that reads “The Truth Lies”.

Also noteworthy for Black Ops fans, the teaser includes a nod to 2020’s Black Ops Cold War. In that game, they could reach different endings by deciding whether to choose the truth or a lie when giving information about Perseus’ location. This hints that a similar storytelling mechanic could be used in Black Ops 6.

The official reveal of Black Ops 6 will take place at Microsoft’s Xbox Games Showcase event on June 9th. This will be followed by a Direct event dedicated to the new Call of Duty.

In addition, the game is planned to be released in October and will be added to Game Pass on the first day. In this way, people with PC and console memberships will have the chance to access the game for free.
