Valve has unveiled refurbished models of the Steam Deck. These models, which are returned by users and repaired and offered for sale by the company, aim to bring the portable game console to a wider audience.
What does the revamped Steam Deck promise?
According to the statement from Valve, the renewed Steam Deck models are undergoing extensive testing. Software updates, more than 100 tests, and all components are checked for each device. Battery health is also evaluated.In the statement shared by the company, it was stated that these Steam Deck models meet the same performance standards as the new devices. Valve admits it has minor flaws, but it’s okay with the portable console experience.
Refurbished Steam Deck models have a 1-year warranty, similar to new devices. It also comes with a fully tested power supply, carrying case and quick start guide.
The sales prices of the new portable handheld console were not shared. However, it should be noted that there have been some leaks in the SteamDB litse. Accordingly, the entry model with 64GB of storage will be offered with prices starting from $ 319. Let’s say that the regular price is 399 dollars.
Also, according to the claim, the top-end 512GB SSD version will be sold for $519.
