The Most Common Passwords of 2022: The Summit Has Not Changed Again
A security firm has announced the most used passwords in 2022. “Password”, which makes its mark on the list every year, topped the list this year as well.
The world’s most common password has been revealed and it’s not hard to guess. The most common password in the world is “password”.
Password management company NordPass has compiled a list of the most common and therefore worst passwords of 2022. “Despite increasing cybersecurity awareness, we’ve learned that old habits die hard,” NordPass says.
Unfortunately, this means using simple credentials like “password”, the name of your favorite football team or the name of your pet to secure your accounts. Worse still, many people use the same password on many different sites at the same time.
This can put you in a dangerous position if one of your accounts gets hacked, as attackers can access other services you use.
