As it is understood in the latest statements, J.R.R. Tolkien’s world-famous fantasy fiction series The Lord of the Rings continues its journey and it has been revealed that Warner Bros. is preparing for a new The Lord of the Rings movie.
What Will The New The Lord Of The Rings Movie Focus On?
Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav announced today that Peter Jackson and his writing partners Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens will produce a new Lord of the Rings project that will focus on Gollum, previously played by Andy Serkis.
While Jackson, Walsh and Boyens will be involved in every aspect of the project, Zaslav said that the project is currently in early script development and will focus on stories that have never been told before.
The new Lord of the Rings movie, for which not many details have been announced at the moment, is expected to be released in 2026 if there is no postponement.
