The First Descendant Will Be The World’s First HDR10+ Game

Samsung and NEXON announced The First Descendant, the world’s first game with HDR10+ GAMING technology.

Samsung has announced that it has partnered with NEXON to unveil a brand new project in the gaming space. The two companies joined forces to develop The First Descendant. The interesting point here is that this isn’t just a new game, it’s a game that uses brand new HDR10+ technology. The game will be the first production to use this technology on mobile.

The game, which will be released in collaboration with Samsung and Nexon, will be a third-person cooperative action and RPG shooter that was recently introduced and is scheduled to debut at Gamescom 2023 later this month. NEXON will launch the cross-open beta testing of The First Descendant on September 19. HDR10+ GAMING technology for those who don’t know; We can say that it is a technology that offers excellent image quality thanks to improved colors, contrast and brightness.

The Unique Technology of The First Descendant

According to the official post from the South Korean tech giant, the game will bring darker shadows with bright highlights to immerse you in the new world. The game, which supports HDR10+, will offer an optimized experience so that users will not have to deal with settings. In addition, the new technology will be almost instantly responsive with support for low latency and variable refresh rate from all HDR10+ GAMING displays.

First Descendant will be the world’s first game to leverage this technology to deliver a superior gaming experience. As of now, there are more than 150 partners in the HDR10+ ecosystem and more than 7,000 certified devices including televisions, monitors, projectors and much more. The HDR10+ GAMING standard will also come to Samsung’s latest gaming monitor and TV series.
