Stunning New Feature from iOS 18: You will be able to know the time even if your battery is dead!

The unknown features of iOS 18, whose developer version has been released recently, have started to be revealed by users. Here are the details!

As technology has evolved, so have our habits, and many of us rely on our smartphones to find out the time instead of looking directly at wristwatches or wall clocks, but since the battery runs out relatively quickly, there’s always a risk that we won’t be able to see the time at potentially important times, and with iOS 18, Apple is bringing a partial solution to this problem.

As spotted by Reddit users, with iOS 18, the current time will be displayed in the upper left corner of the screen even if your phone’s battery is dead.

How to display the time even if the battery is dead?

In any case, it’s not possible to get direct data-driven information like the current time when a phone’s battery is completely dead, but the iPhone’s Power Reserve feature ensures that your iPhone is still available and allows you to make contactless payments and access your digital keys even when there’s not enough battery left to use other functions.

This Power Reserve feature is not new, of course, but this is where iOS 18 comes in. iOS 18 will allow this stored battery power to be used to display the time.

The interesting point here is that, as Reddit users have noticed, this feature is only available on iPhone 15 series phones for now. So if you have an iPhone 14 or older, you won’t be able to access the time when your battery runs out, even if you update to iOS 18.

It’s hard to figure out what’s causing this limitation for now, but we can expect Apple to clarify this issue in the future.

So what do you think about this issue? You can share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
