According to the game’s new fact sheet, the release of Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl has been delayed to the first quarter of 2024. Developer GSC Game World’s latest memo on Heart of Chornobyl announced that the game will release for PC and Xbox Series X/S in the first quarter of 2024. The game will be on Game Pass from day one. In addition, pre-orders will continue on Steam, GOG and the official website.
Pre-orders of physical versions are only available on the game’s official website. The game first appeared in 2018 and has been delayed multiple times for various reasons, including development issues stemming from the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia. GSC Game World had to evacuate Ukraine, but we know that the game is currently under development.
Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl Coming in 2024
Earlier this month, distributor Plaion listed the December 2023 release window for Stalker 2 on its website, but neither GSC Game World nor Plaion have confirmed this. We now know that the release window is the first quarter of 2024. By the way, the game will be released exclusively for Xbox Series X and S at the beginning, but since the duration of this agreement is 3 months, we will see the PlayStation 5 version at the end of this period.
By the way, the story of the game; The Chornobyl Forbidden Zone changed drastically as a result of the second giant eruption in 2006. Aggressive mutants, deadly anomalies, and warring factions have made the Realm an almost impossible place to survive. Despite this, artifacts of incredible value have lured many people known as S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
