Selimiye Village, 45 km away from Marmaris town center, is one of the safest bays in the Gulf of Hisaronu. The village, which has turned into an important shelter throughout history due to its location, is the stopover point for many boats and yachts in the surrounding area, especially in overcast weather.

In Selimiye Village, which did not experience the transformation of popular holiday resorts for many years due to transportation difficulties, and thus managed to preserve the local culture, there are also those who come from places such as Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir and even Bodrum. This educated and wealthy group contributes to the development of Selimiye with tourism without spoiling. Unlike many points that have turned into a consumption center due to intense interest, there is labor, and conversation in every corner of Selimiye. Although the roads have improved somewhat, it is still difficult to say that transportation is easy. The 45 km long Marmaris road can only be overcome in 50 minutes. The village’s past name is Losta. Dozens of boutique hotels, concept cafes and restaurants are lined up along a 2 km coastline. As you walk, you lose yourself by thinking about the decoration, colors, desk chair of each space. One step in front of the venues are piers, beaches and yacht moorings.

Selimiye is a village where you can see different shades of Aegean blue and enjoy it to the full. It is quite enjoyable to explore the surrounding bays with boats departing from the marina and to feel the cool and salty water during breaks. In the high season, there is a boat tour in the morning every day. Selimiye boat tours are held on 2 different routes. The tours start around 9-10 am and end between 5-6 pm.

Transportation:

Selimiye Village is connected to the Marmaris district of Mugla. It is 45 km from the center of Marmaris, 102 km from Mugla, 303 km from İzmir, 763 km from Istanbul, 680 km from Ankara and 190 km from Bodrum. The two closest airports to the village are in Bodrum and Dalaman. Dalaman Airport is 130 km and Bodrum Airport is 180 km away. Transportation from Dalaman Airport to Marmaris is provided by THY services, HAVAS and taxis.
