Saudi Arabia Has Determined The Astronauts it Will Send Into Space
Saudi Arabia announced that it has identified male and female astronauts it plans to send into space this year.
According to the news in the Saudi Arabian official agency SPA, Saudi Arabian astronauts Rayyane Bernavi and Ali Karni will go with the AX-2 space shuttle in the second quarter of 2023.
Astronauts will be sent to the space station for research; The space shuttle will take off from the USA in the second half of the year.
Within the scope of the program, astronauts Meryem Firdevs and Ali el-Gamdi will also receive training in space exploration.
The Saudi Arabian Space Agency announced in September last year that it had launched a space program within the scope of “Vision 2030”. It was emphasized that it was aimed to benefit from the space industry sector and to contribute to research in this field.
In this context, it was stated that the first astronaut team is planned to be sent to space in 2023 and a female astronaut will be in the team to be sent.
