Rescue moment of helicopter that crashed in Izmir
The moments of rescue of the wreckage of the helicopter that fell into Tahtalı Dam while taking water while fighting a fire in Menderes district of Izmir were shared on the social media account of the Gendarmerie General Command.
Last Saturday, 4 crew members were missing in the helicopter that crashed into Tahtalı Dam while taking water while responding to a forest fire in Keler neighborhood of Menderes district.
After the incident, Kyrgyzstan national Isabekov Erkinbek went ashore with his own means and was taken to the hospital with injuries. Yesterday, the lifeless bodies of crew members Ianshanlo Lamzar and Oleg Agaev were recovered from the wreckage. In a statement released by the Izmir Governor’s Office, it was stated that the lifeless body of Turkish citizen Mehmet Akif Tutuk, the last of the helicopter crew, was recovered from the wreckage.

On the other hand, Gendarmerie Search and Rescue (JAK) and Underwater Rescue (SAK) teams of the Gendarmerie General Command conducted search and rescue operations in the area.
The efforts to remove the helicopter wreckage were also shared on the social media account of the Gendarmerie General Command.
