Qualcomm Announces Which Processor Will Be Used in ‘Nothing Phone 2’
Qualcomm, one of the world’s largest mobile chip manufacturers, broke Nothing’s surprise. The post published on the LinkedIn platform confirmed the processor of the Phone 2.
Nothing, the new brand of Carl Pei, one of the founding partners of OnePlus, continues to grow. The company, which attracted attention with its Ear (1), Ear (Stick) and Phone (1) products last year, will soon introduce its new smartphone. New details continue to come from the device, which will come with the name Phone (2).
Nothing Phone (2) Will Have Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Processor
It was announced recently that the Phone (2) will have a Snapdragon 8-series chip, but the specific model to be used in the device was still a question mark, but a Qualcomm executive inadvertently spoiled Nothing’s surprise. Alex Katouzian, a senior executive at Qualcomm, announced on the LinkedIn platform that the Nothing Phone (2) will have a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. Although Katouzian later edited the post, the company’s surprise has now emerged.
With the Snapdragon 778G+ processor in its Phone (1), Nothing seems to be much more competitive with its new generation smartphone. While the 8+ Gen 1 isn’t Qualcomm’s most powerful chipset, the chipset offers amazing performance. Let’s hope Nothing doesn’t increase the price of its products by switching to higher-end chipsets.
