Poco, one of the sub-brands of Xiaomi, has turned its focus to the Poco F5 and F5 Pro models after the Poco X5 series, which was released last February. If we recall, the Pro model of the family was recently listed on Geekbench. At this point, we saw that the new device will receive support from Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2. According to the shared screenshot, the Poco F5, listed with the model number “23013PC75G” on the Geekbench platform, is powered by an octa-core chipset, one 2.92GHz, three 2.50GHz and four 1.80GHz cores paired with 12GB of RAM. When we go into details, we can say that this chipset points to Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2.
Also, in its recent post, Snapdragon India confirmed that the first device to be powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor will be the Poco F5. According to the company, the new platform will bring 50% higher overall performance, 13% improved power efficiency and 2X improved AI performance compared to Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. Leaked Geekbench scores at this point show that the processor will be close to the previous flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.
According to reports, the Poco F5 will feature a 6.67” AMOLED display on the front that offers 1440×3200 resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The device, which will offer up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of storage capacity, will use 5,000 mAh with 67W support. In addition, it is stated that the flagship killer will come out of the box with Android 13-based MIUI 14.
In the camera department, the Poco F5 will showcase 64MP + 8MP + 2MP on the back and 16MP selfie sensor on the front. The Poco F5 and Poco F5 Pro are expected to be introduced in the Indian market very soon. Soon after that, it will find a place in our country and in the global market.
