The official decision on the 5 TL coins, which have been talked about for a long time, has been made. Here are the details!
The first serious development regarding the 5 TL coins and 500 TL banknotes, which have been on the agenda many times in the past and which the public also needs, took place today. 5 TL coins were put into circulation.
Within the scope of the decision published in the Official Gazette, 5 TL coins will start to be printed. The 5 TL coin will have a diameter of 28.15 mm, a thickness of 1.70 mm and a weight of 8.25 g.
What kind of design will the 5 TL coin have?
On the obverse of the 5 TL coin, the eight-pointed Seljuk star motif and the repetition of the outer counter of this motif will be used on the outer ring. While there will be a moon star at the junction of the ring and the inner part, there will be the Century of Turkey logo in the center.
Immediately to the left of the Century of Turkey logo will be the number “5”, below it will be the inscription “Turkish Lira” and below the inscription will be the year of minting of the coin.
On the reverse side of the 5 TL coin, there will be a relief of Atatürk and the inscription “Republic of Turkey” around him.
