OPPO Increases High-Tech Production Capacity in Turkey

OPPO’s Factory in Turkey Starts Work to Increase Production and Employment
OPPO, already the fourth largest smartphone manufacturer in the world, opened its first factory in Turkey in 2021. Since then, the factory in Tuzla, Istanbul has provided added value to our country in terms of both domestic production and employment.
And the company does not intend to stop there. OPPO and its partners in our country are making an intense effort to increase the production capacity of the factory and increase the number of employees to over 1000 by the end of the year.
Currently, the factory’s production capacity is 4.5 million units per year. According to the statements, the number of phones produced by the plant is between 25-50. However, thanks to new production lines and employees, this number is expected to increase in 2025.
OPPO Turkey Corporate Communications Manager Murat Karakoç said the following about the cooperation:
“With our strategic partnership with AGM and our ‘In Turkey for Turkey’ strategy, we aim to develop high-tech manufacturing capabilities and increase employment opportunities in Turkey. We are determined to become one of the top three smartphone brands in the country in the next three years.”
Yücel Kubanç, CEO of Mıstaçoğlu Holding, underlined that with the partnership with OPPO, they have become the largest local investor in the GSM sector:
“With our current installed capacity, we have an annual production capacity of 4.5 million units in our factory. In the factory, where we work with a special team of OPPO’s engineers and technical experts, we aim to reach more than 1000 people by the end of the year.”
