Due to the deadly and contagious virus in India, schools and public offices were suspended and public transportation was suspended.

Nipah virus has been detected in the Indian state of Kerala. More than 700 people were tested after two people died.

Contacted health workers were also quarantined. Two adults and a child are also under treatment in hospital.
