New Type Of Coronavirus In Turkey’s Neighbor Greece
It was announced that BA.2 (BA.2.75.2) (Centaurus), a sub-variant of the new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19) Omicron variant, was found for the first time in Greece.
According to the statement made by the National Public Health Agency of Greece (EODY), a total of 33 thousand 590 new cases were detected in the country during the week of September 5-11. Thus, the number of cases seen since the beginning of the epidemic increased to 4 million 838 thousand 811.
In the same week, the number of people who lost their lives due to the new type of coronavirus (Kovid-19) was 129. At the beginning of the epidemic, the number of people who lost their lives due to Kovid-19 reached 32,894.
New Sub Variant Found
BA.2 (BA.2.75.2) case was found in the examination carried out on 664 samples on 22 July-4 September.
