New Minimum Wage in Turkey!

The minimum wage, which concerns millions of citizens in Turkey, was set at 17,2 thousand 2 liras net, including 700 liras of minimum wage support, effective January 1, 2024.

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan, Türk-İş President Ergün Atalay and Turkish Confederation of Employers’ Associations (TİSK) President Özgür Burak Akkol held a joint press conference after the minimum wage meeting in the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Regarding the new increase, Işıkhan said, “With the new amount, we are pleased that we have once again fulfilled our promise not to crush our employees against inflation.”
