The US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has announced that it will make a historic announcement about UFOs, which have been a subject of curiosity for years. Before the announcement, the NASA panel established last year held its public meeting.
The NASA panel, established last year to evaluate claims of what NASA lists as ‘unidentified aerial phenomena’, often referred to as UFOs, held its first public meeting ahead of a report expected to be released in the coming weeks.
“NASA will make a historic announcement on UFOs today,” US television network CNN International announced the meeting.
The findings on the unidentified objects were announced at the first public meeting held at NASA headquarters in Washington.
The term UFO, long associated with the concepts of flying saucers and aliens, was changed by the government to “UAP” (unidentified anomalous phenomenon).
“There is no evidence that UAPs are of extraterrestrial origin,” NASA said last June when announcing the formation of the panel.
In a statement released after the event, NASA acknowledged the existence of UFOs.
