Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure Announced: Turkey Card Starts Service!
The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure announced that the Turkey Card project will start its activities very soon. Here are the details!
Abdulkadir Uraloğlu, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, announced that the pilot implementation of the Turkey Card project has been completed in Konya and work has started to make it widespread in 81 provinces.
Minister Uraloğlu stated that the first step in this area was taken in Konya, and underlined that the contract processes with the municipalities in Kayseri, Yozgat and Gümüşhane have also been completed.
In which areas will the Turkey Card be used?
Turkiye Card, which will be used in 6 provinces by the end of the year, can be used in public transportation, POS and ATM devices, municipal fees and tax payments, parking lot payments, contracted workplaces, taxi payments, food and beverage vending machines.
In addition, top-up transactions can be made through PTT channels, banks and state institutions, online channels, mobile applications and contracted workplaces.
Regarding the project, Minister Uraloğlu said, “TurkeyCard Project will bring a significant transformation to the transportation sector. Our citizens will be able to carry out transportation and payment transactions more easily, quickly and effectively.”
