Negative Result for Instagram from the Cabinet Meeting
On the third day of the access block imposed on Instagram by BTK, a critical meeting was held between the bureaucrats of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure and Instagram officials. Minister Uraloğlu made important statements after the meeting, which started at 13.00 and ended at 19.00.
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced after the cabinet meeting that the access block for Instagram will continue today. Uraloğlu said, “We have not gotten exactly the result we want, we are actively following up. I thought we could finish this job today, but it didn’t happen. There is no progress on Instagram.”
The minister stated that the negotiations will continue in order for the platform to start serving in Turkey again. President Erdoğan did not make any statement on Instagram after the cabinet meeting.
