Minimum 7.2 earthquake in Marmara!

prof. Dr. Naci Görür made important statements in a program he attended about disasters. Speaking about the expected earthquake in Marmara, Görür said, “We are waiting for the Adalar and Kumburgaz fault to break. We expect the northern fault of the North Anatolian fault to break. We expect an earthquake to reach a minimum of 7.2 to 7.6.”

Speaking at the Gemlik Municipality’s Disaster Mitigation Workshop in Bursa, Prof. Dr. Naci Görür said, “We say that the Marmara earthquake will come. We are waiting for the Adalar and Kumburgaz fault to break. We expect the northern fault of the North Anatolian fault to break. We expect an earthquake that will reach a minimum of 7.2 to 7.6.” said.

“THAT HAS BEEN DONE REMEMBER VERY LITTLE”

Science Academy Member, Earth Scientist Prof. Dr. Naci Görür attended the Disaster Mitigation Workshop organized by Gemlik Municipality. Evaluating the earthquake risk of Marmara and Bursa, Görür said, “No country in the world has been prepared for an earthquake as much as we are. The library shelves do not pass reports. You will see hundreds of reports about what to do in an earthquake, but what has been done is unfortunately very few. The future of the 1999 earthquake was clear from the 70s. Our dear people, neither local governments nor the central government heard our warnings. We also warned about the Elazig earthquake. Elazig applauded us, nobody did anything when the earthquake struck.

“WE ARE WAITING FOR EARTHQUAKE TO 7.6”

Now we say that the Marmara earthquake will come. We are waiting for the Adalar and Kumburgaz fault to break. We expect the northern fault of the North Anatolian fault to break. We expect earthquakes to reach 7.2 to 7.6 minimum. First degree earthquake is mentioned for Gemlik and Bursa, we are talking about these two benefits. “This is not the only threat to you,” he said.
