Live Streaming Coming To The Sound Room In X

X brings Periscope-like live streaming to all users. Images of the new feature coming to the Sound Room were shared. Here are the details!

X’s live audio feature, Audio Room, will now allow hosts to open videos during the session. It is rumored that this update was brought to Space instead of bringing back Periscope.

Elon Musk, the owner of X, announced the news by re-sharing the post of the user named “Dodgedesigner” about this update.

Voice Room users will see the “allow video” option when they want to create a new session. Hosts can use their phone’s front and rear cameras as they wish. They also have the option to watch the video horizontally or vertically.

All Users Can Now Open Images
Video Audio Room is available in the X app for iOS, but is not yet available on Android devices. In addition, users who have tried the feature have commented that there is a delay in the counter-image.

The fact that X is bringing video to the Voice Room could be seen as bringing back Periscope, but this is not the case. X currently has the ability for users to broadcast live to their followers. Periscope used to have a feature where hosts could invite other guests to join the live stream.

Currently, only hosts can open videos. An image of the presenter’s video stream appears, which is then surrounded by icons of co-presenters, speakers and listeners.

At first glance, the feature may seem similar to Twitch, but unlike the Voice Room video feature, any viewer can join the conversation.
