It is also the most popular street in Istanbul. The street, once known as Grande Rue de Pera, is located in the district of Beyoğlu. It is also the most popular culture and art center in Istanbul. İstiklal Street, which is the most visited street in Istanbul especially by young people and tourists, offers 24-hour entertainment and life with its cafes, bars, restaurants, art centers, cinemas, shopping centers and historical texture. In this street, you can see a flood of local and foreign tourists at any time of the day, summer or winter. It is said that more than a million people walk every day. The street is full of buildings, mansions, passages, and many foreign consulates and embassies, which stand out with its historical and rich architectural structure dating back to the 19th century, which hosts various brands. Along the istiklal street, you can visit popular places such as the fantastic Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, Hüseyin Ağa Mosque, Saint Antuan Catholic Church, Pera Museum, Çiçek Pasajı and French Street. You can Take the Metrobus from Kadıköy Söğütlüçeşme and get off at Zincirlikuyu. You can transfer to Hacıosman-Yenikapı metro from here, and when you get off at the Taksim stop of the metro, you can reach İstiklal Street.
You can Get on Marmaray from Üsküdar and get off at Yenikapı. From Yenikapı, you can take the Yenikapı-Hacıosman metro and get off at the Taksim stop and reach İstiklal Street. If you come from Büyükçekmece, Beylikdüzü, Avcılar, Küçükçekmece, Bahçelievler, take the metrobus from any Metrobus station and come to Mecidiyeköy. Transfer from here to Yenikapı-Hacıosman metro. When you get off at Taksim stop by metro, you can reach İstiklal Street.
