While Russian citizens left their country after Putin‘s part of the military mobilization decision, Israel made a remarkable statement. Israel has announced its readiness to accept a massive wave of immigration from Russia and Ukraine.
“WE ARE PREPARING TO ACCEPT A GREAT WAVE OF MIGRATION”
A written statement was made by the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office.
“In light of the latest developments in Russia and Ukraine, we are preparing to accept a large wave of immigration to Israel,” the statement were included.
It was stated that the said migration wave would include tens of thousands of people.
6,000 PEOPLE ARE EXPECTED TO IMMIGRATE MONTHLY
On the other hand, Israeli Aliya and Integration Minister Pnina Tamano-Shata held a meeting on the integration of Russian immigrants into Israel, who wanted to leave their country for fear of compulsory military service, according to the news in the Israeli Public Broadcasting Organization (KAN).
In the news, it was stated that approximately 6,000 Russian immigrants are expected to come to Israel every month for the next six months.
According to the Israel Central Center for Statistics, Russia and Ukraine have been the two countries that have sent the most immigrants to Israel in the last two decades.
The majority of those who immigrated to Israel from Russia and Ukraine are immigrants of Jewish origin, who are granted citizenship under Israeli law.
