The claim that Google's Gmail service will close in a few months has started to grow. So will it really close? Here are the details!
Yesterday, there was some news coming out of Google. Changes to the login page and apologizing to users on behalf of Gemini were just some of these news.
In the evening, a claim was made on X. Looking at an image circulating on X and the note written in the image, it was written that Gmail would be closed. So is Gmail, which has millions of users, really shutting down?
Statement from Google’s Gmail Service
The image, which reached users all over the world in a very short time on X, says that Gmail will be shut down. The text states that Google’s Gmail journey is coming to an end. As of August 1, 2024, Gmail will no longer be in service.
The fact that the post looks like an e-mail from Gmail made users believe the claim. However, after this claim spread quickly and reached the whole world, Gmail made a statement from X.
Gmail’s explanation was short and clear. It sprinkled water on its users by tweeting that it was not going anywhere and that it was permanent.
