iOS 17.4 is Available: With Many New Features!
Apple has released the fourth major update of the iOS 17 operating system. Many innovations came to iPhones. Here are the details!
Apple is updating its iOS operating system and iPadOS, bringing new features and changes to its users. This update can be downloaded over-the-air from Settings > General > Software Update for eligible iPhone and iPad models.
Innovative Changes in the European Union
With iOS 17.4, significant changes have been made in the European Union. Sweeping changes to the App Store and the way apps work have opened the door to alternative app markets on iPhone, alternative payment systems on iOS and iPadOS, third-party browser engine support and NFC access.
These features are particularly advantageous for banks and third-party payment providers. However, these changes only apply within the EU and do not apply to other countries.
Global Changes in Gaming Practices
Apple is making significant changes to gaming apps worldwide with iOS 17.4. Cloud-based gaming apps like Xbox Cloud Gaming and Nvidia GeForce NOW will now be available on iOS. In addition, mini-games, chatbots and add-ons have also been updated to support in-app purchases.
Other New Features
In addition to these major updates to the App Store, iOS 17.4 includes a variety of other features. New emoji characters, transcripts for podcasts in the Podcast app, Stopwatch Live Events, improvements to battery health reporting on iPhone 15 models, and more.
