How can I Apply to Study in Turkey?

The short name is YÖS (Foreign Students Exam) in Turkey which is a condition to take education in Turkish universities for foreign students. How to Join Foreign Students Exam ?

  1. Stage: Pre-Registration

You should visit the webpages of universities to create a pre-registration. Online registration is possible at many universities. You must have a valid email address first. Then the pre-registration form must be filled. In this registration form, the city you want to take the exam must be selected. Then the passport needs to be scanned and loaded on the system. A confirmation email will be sent to you after the pre-registration form has been sent. After approval, an application number will be issued for the applicant and a university account will be created. After activating the account, a username and password must be determined. At this stage, finally a confirmation email is sent and the actual registration process begins.

  1. Stage: Registration

After completing the pre-registration for Foreign Students Exam, an e-mail will be sent to you that contains the registration steps. By clicking on the link in the e-mail, it is necessary to register in the “Candidate System” of the relevant university. All steps in the system should be filled without leaving any spaces. Later, exam fee payment step will be started. At this stage, it is possible to pay by credit card. However, there is also the option to send money by bank transfer. After successfully completing the payment, it is necessary to wait until the confirmation window appears. A message confirming that the payment has been received will then be sent to the island and the YÖS registration will be successfully completed.

  1. Stage: Controlling

Exam entry registration status can be checked from the system. It is possible to use the candidate system to follow the changes in the exam dates and to learn more about YÖS..

  1. Stage: Exam Participation Certificate

The registration has completed in the second step. Then an e-mail is sent to the candidates stating that the exam participation documents are ready. A printout of this document should be taken and it must be with the candidate when entering the exam.
