A person in Istanbul’s Yeşilkent Neighborhood tried to commit suicide by turning on the natural gas of his flat and burning his house. The person who wanted to escape by jumping from the balcony was caught and battered by the residents of the site. The moments of the event were reflected on the mobile phone camera. While the fire was extinguished by firefighters, the person was taken into custody by the police.
The incident occurred yesterday evening in a luxury complex in Istanbul’s Yeşilkent District. Allegedly, the unidentified person set fire to the apartment where he stayed to commit suicide by turning on the natural gas. In a short time, dense smoke rose from the burning house. The person jumped from the balcony of his own house to the balcony of the downstairs apartment first. He then tried to escape by jumping to the ground.
